TASTING NOTES

Tradition and family: these are the two key words that sum up the vision of the Monte Santoccio winery. The area, nestled between Lake Garda and the Lessinia mountains, has a long tradition of red wines, and is famous above all for the dried (passito) red grape wine, Recioto. Monte Santoccio's Valpolicella Classico is a Veneto red wine that most reflects tradition: made from Corvina, Corvinone, Molinara and Rondinella grapes, which, after rigorous manual harvesting, are pressed and after fermentation undergo a brief passage in stainless steel. In the glass it is a beautiful, lively ruby red with violet reflections. On the nose it is an explosion of freshness and (red) berry fruit, a sensation that adds to its drinkability. An excellent wine for shared moments and everyday life, we suggest drinking it as an aperitif wine or as a pairing with cured meats and cheeses that are not too mature. Read more Read less
