Production

Solaia is one of Marchesi Antinori's most prestigious wines, a great expression of the Tuscan region and Italian winemaking excellence. It is born from Cabernet Sauvignon, Sangiovese and Cabernet Franc grapes from a selection of the best vineyards of Tenuta Tignanello, in the heart of Chianti Classico. Careful fermentation and long aging in French oak barriques allow the wine to develop structure, elegance and great longevity.

Organoleptic Characteristics

On the nose, intense notes of ripe red fruits, black cherry and plum can be distinguished, accompanied by hints of sweet spices, cocoa, tobacco and vanilla. On the palate it is rich and harmonious, with silky tannins, great balance and a long persistence that combines power, elegance and depth.

Occasion and Pairing

A wine for great occasions, ideal with important dishes such as grilled red meats, game, braised meats and aged cheeses. Also perfect to taste slowly as a meditation wine.
