TASTING NOTES

Azienda Lisini is located on the southern side of Montalcino in the hamlet of Sant’Angelo in Colle. Thanks to the ideal exposure of the vineyards and the influence of marine currents, a special microclimate – extremely different from other parts of the municipality – can be found here. Lisini-Clementi is one of Montalcino’s historic businesses, with a presence in the region as far back as the middle of the 16th century. At present, grandchildren Carlo, Lorenzo, and Ludovica are set to steer the company into the future. Rosso di Montalcino is a Tuscan red wine which is obtained from the same vineyards as Brunello di Montalcino. During the harvesting and ageing processes, the producer can choose which part of the harvest is set aside for production without waiting out the four-year period stipulated by the production protocol for the Brunello wine. Rosso di Montalcino Lisini is a red wine distinguished by its ruby red colour and perfect lustre. It has intense aromas of red berry fruit and cherries along with a floral elegance like that of the rose. It has a warm, dry flavour with a hint of tannin. Ageing takes place in Slavonian oak barrels of varying sizes for a period of six months. This wine is ideal for enjoying over Sunday lunch and with red meats and stews. Read more Read less
THE WINERY

Lisini

Among the great names of Italian viticulture, the name of Livio Felluga should be included. From the time after the Second World War, he was committed to the revaluation of quality agriculture through avant-garde vinification aimed at enhancing the Friulian border area, where Balkan and Central European influences met and clashed for centuries. It was precisely the desire to communicate a territory to the world through its wines that led Livio to choose his traditional labels, representing a cross-section of the Friuli map. Indigenous and international grape varieties are still used and declined in their truest expression. Name and address of producer/distributor: Livio Felluga - Via Risorgimento, 1, 34071 Brazzano GO. Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
