Production

The Pira Luigi estate has been linked to the hills of Serralunga d’Alba since the late 19th century. The winery has been run by five generations, yet it remains rooted in the same land, with the same castle on the horizon. This Nebbiolo is presented in its youngest and most immediate expression. The Langhe Nebbiolo is vinified in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks for approximately 18–20 days. Ageing is traditional, in 25-hectolitre Slavonian oak barrels for 9 months. And per 100 ml: 325 kJ/78 kcal

Organoleptic Characteristics

Visually, Langhe Nebbiolo presents an intense garnet red colour. The bouquet features fruity and spicy notes, with subtle hints of leather. On the palate, it is smooth and enveloping, with sweet, refined tannins and good length.

Occasion and Pairing

Ideal when paired with red meat dishes or even a pasta dish with meat sauce.

Serving Temperature

To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 16–18°C.
