TASTING NOTES

Chianti Rufina Nipozzano is the wine of the Castle, historic Tenuta Frescobaldi, symbol of the Tuscan wine tradition and the bond with the terroir. This Chianti is made from Sangiovese grapes, which as soon as they are harvested, are given to the winery. Here, once destemmed, spontaneous fermentation follows by indigenous yeasts in thermoregulated stainless steel tanks. At the end of this, the wine macerates in vats and performs malolactic fermentation always in steel, then refine in barrique in the following months. Further aging in bottle allows Nipozzano to express itself to the maximum, making it a wine with an exceptional expressive balance. The glass has an intense and limpid ruby red color. On the nose it expresses fruity aromas, followed by floral notes of violet. Fresh and balsamic, it has pleasant spicy hints of pepper, nutmeg and roasted Arabica coffee. The palate is satisfying, harmonious, fresh, fruity and mineral, with a dense and silky tannic texture. The finish is pleasantly persistent and balanced in its different components. A Chianti suitable for any occasion and perfect to accompany meat dishes, tasty and structured, meat sauce and succulent stews. To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a serving temperature of 16/18 ºC. Read more Read less
