Egly-Ouriet’s Premier Cru Les Vignes de Vrigny Champagne is produced in the Premier Cru village of Vrigny, in the Montagne de Reims, from 100% Pinot Meunier grapes. The vineyards are managed with great attention to the quality of the grapes and respect for the soil. Vinification involves spontaneous fermentation and ageing in wood, followed by the second fermentation according to the Méthode Champenoise. The dosage is very low, in the Extra Brut style, to highlight the purity and identity of the terroir.
Bright golden yellow in colour with a fine, persistent perlage. On the nose, it opens with notes of ripe apple, pear, citrus and white flowers, accompanied by hints of dried fruit, brioche and subtle mineral nuances. On the palate, it is smooth yet taut, with excellent balance, good structure and a long, savoury and harmonious finish.
An elegant and gastronomic Champagne, ideal for sophisticated aperitifs or paired with fish, shellfish, white meats and delicate yet structured dishes.
To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 8–10°C.
