Maison Louis Roederer is one of the few wineries still run by the family. Founded in Reims in 1776, the company owns 240 hectares of property located between the Grands and Premiers Crus in the area of the Montagne de Reims, the Vallée de la Marne, the Côte de Blancs. Champagne Brut Collection 243 is a vision towards the future, a new ambition that led the Maison to write a new chapter in its history. The importance of attention to sustainable viticulture, respect for the raw material and the qualities of the terroir, climate change, are all aspects that Louis Roederer wanted to give a response through the creation of this exceptional cuvée. All the parcels of the Collection, those that are part of the Louis Roederer Estates and those of the historical partners, have been redefined to preserve only those that best suit its identity, linked to the heart of the Champagne terroir. Created from Réserve Perpétuelle and Reserve Wines aged in wood, complemented by the best of the 2018 harvest, Collection 243 is anchored to our roots in Champagne and to the foundations of our Reims Maison. This epicurean Champagne is the great multi-vintage wine of the Maison, its most faithful banner! The Collection number indicates the number of blends made since the birth of the Maison Louis Roederer, allowing all lovers to choose their wine depending on the degree of youth or maturity they desire and appreciate. Collection 243 is made up of 42% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot Noir and 18% Meunier, giving the glass a brilliant gold color with iridescent reflections. Fine and dynamic perlage, a triumph of ripe fruits are found with hints of lemon cake, jasmine, notes of toasted pastry.
