TASTING NOTES

Production

Cannonau di Sardegna Costera di Argiolas is made from Cannonau grapes grown in Sardinia, on sandy and clayey soils well exposed to the Mediterranean climate. The harvest is manual and the winemaking takes place in steel with maceration on the skins to extract color and structure. The refinement continues partly in steel and partly in wood, followed by a short rest in the bottle to harmonize the wine.

Organoleptic Characteristics

Deep ruby red color. On the nose it expresses notes of ripe cherry, blackberry and plum, accompanied by hints of Mediterranean scrub, sweet spices and light balsamic nuances. On the palate it is warm and enveloping, with good structure, soft tannins and a persistent and harmonious finish.

Occasion and Pairing

Mediterranean red and versatile, ideal for tasty cuisine. It pairs with red meats, roasts, grills, structured first courses and aged cheeses.

Serving Temperature

To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a serving temperature of 16/18°C.

Near Cagliari, among the low, undulating hills that make up the landscape of Serdiana, lies the Argiolas winery, which has kept its production traditions intact for more than a century. The hills around the city and its gulf have been cultivated for millennia, and have hosted all kinds of crops. Olive groves, fields and precious vineyards have always been part of Serdiana's history, and the Argiolas winery continues this with pride.
