Production

The Bolgheri Superiore Sondraia by Poggio al Tesoro is made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc grapes. During the red winemaking process, alcoholic fermentation took place in stainless steel at a temperature of 28-30°C for 12-15 days. The aging occurred in French oak barriques, 70% of which were new and 30% of which were second-use barrels.

Organoleptic Characteristics

The Bolgheri Superiore Sondraia by Poggio al Tesoro stands out in the glass with an intense ruby red color. On the nose, it releases aromas of ripe berries and hints of balsamic herbs, mingling with notes of wet earth and dark spices. The taste is intense and enveloping, enhanced by velvety tannins and a persistent spicy finish.

Excellent paired with aged cheeses and game.
