TASTING NOTES

Production

Roberto Voerzio never intervenes with his wine and allows nature to bring it to completion. Fermentations are always spontaneous, and the hand of man should never alter what the land has provided: in the cellar, there should only be order and wine. The aging process lasts 24 months in large barrels and second-passage barriques, followed by 8 months in steel and 8 months in the bottle.

Organoleptic Characteristics

Barolo Brunate is a garnet red in the glass, with delicate hints of ruby red. Ethereal on the nose, with overripe fruit and compote of plums, dried strawberry, and ash from dry tobacco, never aggressive. On the palate, more structured sensations emerge; it is full-bodied and characterful, with enveloping tannins that are always in place and in progression. A wine that ensures the time spent in its presence is never forgotten.

Occasion and Pairing

Barolo Brunate is excellent with truffle eggs, pan-seared lamb chops, Barolo braised veal, and Castelmagno cheese.

Serving Temperature

To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 18-20°C.

Allergens: Solfiti

THE WINERY

Roberto Voerzio

A different story. The winery of Roberto Voerzio has remained family run, where all the works of the vineyard and cellar are carried out according to experience, tradition and passion. Roberto’s wines tell a different story every year, based on the weather of the season. The terroir has changed over the years, choosing a production of wines in the most prestigious Cru for the production of Barolo, Dolcetto, Barbera and Nebbiolo. For almost thirty years, the vineyards have been cultivated with the utmost respect for nature. After each harvest, manual fertilization is carried out, chemical fertilizers, herbicides, anti-mould or other substances that interfere with the vegetative cycle of the vine and the ripening of the grapes are not used. Name and address manufacturer/distributor: Voerzio Roberto Azienda Agricola - Località Cerreto 7, 12064 - La Morra (CN). The products of this cellar should be stored in a cool and dry place away from heat sources.
