TASTING NOTES

Bartolo Mascarello is a legendary name in Barolo and Langhe, a small producer who has made history in the designation. Defined by a free, original and traditionalist style, Bartolo Mascarello's wine is one of the timeless greats of Langhe: a label that has entered the history books of Italian oenology. Bartolo Mascarello's Barolo has gone down in history as the wine of intellectuals: powerful and velvety, it embodies the memory of this terroir. Barolo DOCG is aged for 32 months in large barrels, delivering an old-world charm and rich, robust personality, created using artisanal methods. With an austere profile, it has deep and complex aromatic notes of black fruit, spices and dried flowers. It is solid on the palate, but also fresh and sleek, supported by a very fine and elegant tannic texture. Balanced and persistent, perfect paired with stewed red meat, game or aged cheeses.

A single Barolo produced by blending Nebbiolo grapes from 4 vineyards between Barolo and La Morra with part of the Rocche dell'Annunziata and Cannubi crus in the blend.
