TASTING NOTES

Production

The Barolo by Elio Altare is a high-quality wine made from Nebbiolo grapes sourced from the best areas of Barolo. The winemaking process follows traditional methods, with spontaneous fermentation in small stainless steel fermenters and a maceration period of 15-20 days. The aging takes place in oak barrels, giving the wine a complex and harmonious character.

Organoleptic Characteristics

Elio Altare's Barolo has an intense garnet red color, with reflections that turn orange as it ages. On the nose, it offers aromas of ripe red fruit, dried flowers, spices, and hints of tobacco and leather. On the palate, it is a structured wine with velvety tannins and an acidity that gives it freshness and elegance, complemented by a long and persistent finish.

Occasion and Pairing

This Barolo pairs perfectly with important dishes such as roasts, braised meats, game, aged cheeses, and traditional Piedmontese dishes. It is ideal for elegant dinners, special occasions, or moments of wine contemplation.

Serving Temperature
