Villa Calicantus is a small organic and biodynamic winery in the heart of Bardolino Classico, managed today by Chiara and Daniele who work 8 hectares of vineyards located on three of the best hills of the Classic Bardolino area. Soracuna is a wine made from 70% Corvina, 10% Corvinone, 10% Rondinella, 10% Molinara grapes that come from three plots of vineyards in Verona pergola that are located on the hills just above the village of Bardolino. The grapes ferment and age in concrete barrels. The name Soracuna derives from two words of the local dialect: sora and cuna, meaning above and cradle, respectively, to celebrate in the house of a new born. 2017 was the first year of production of this wine and was born Anna, daughter of Chiara and Daniele, to celebrate a beautiful day of celebration! Soracuna di Villa Calicantus is presented to the glass with a ruby red color with violet reflections, the nose is perceived aromas of berries, floral fragrances and hints of undergrowth. The palate is fresh and pleasant, easy to drink. Soracuna is excellent in combination with carni rosse grilled red meat, salumi or with first courses seasoned with meat sauces.
