TASTING NOTES

Production

The Amarone della Valpolicella Selezione Antonio Castagnedi DOCG is produced from a carefully crafted blend of: 70% Corvina, 20% Rondinella, 5% Oseleta and 5% Croatina. After selecting the best bunches in several stages, suitable for drying, the grapes are dried and vinified in steel vats, followed by ageing in tonneaux for 24 months.

Organoleptic Characteristics

A wine that presents an intense ruby red colour in the glass. On the nose, it opens with balsamic notes, accompanied by hints of ripe black berries and floral notes of violets, with nuances of liquorice root and nutmeg. On the palate, it is incredibly dynamic, structured and balanced, with well-integrated tannins and savoury undertones.

Occasion and Pairing

Perfect for Sunday lunches, it pairs well with slow-cooked red meat dishes and mature cheeses.

Serving Temperature

To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 16–18°C.

Allergens: Solfiti

THE WINERY

Tenuta Sant'Antonio

Tenuta di Sant'Antonio was born out of a family passion that is as strong as it is enduring. It stands in the area of San Zeno di Colognola ai Colli, in the heart of the Valpolicella area. A privileged position that, since its foundation, has allowed the company to start on the right foot and become one of the most interesting wineries in the Veneto region. It's certainly not luck: the commitment and study that the founding family has poured into the territory has paid off, to create Veneto wines of the highest quality, ready to tell the best of the territory in every glass. A work made of studying the most modern techniques, wisely combined with the oldest traditions, to get the most out of the land and grapes. All this is always done with full respect for the timing of each vine, the unique characteristics of the soil and local knowledge, to obtain precious Veneto red wines all to be discovered. Name and address of producer/distributor: Tenuta Sant'Antonio - via Ceriani, 23, 37030 Colognola ai Colli (VR). Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
