TASTING NOTES

Production

The grapes are hand-harvested and then vinified in stainless steel tanks, where alcoholic fermentation occurs along with a maceration of about 10 days. During this time, gentle pump-overs are performed to ensure a slow and selective extraction. In this phase, the typical red fruit aromas of the variety emerge strongly, and the wine is then aged in large oak barrels, where it gains the structure and complexity characteristic of this Riserva.

Organoleptic Characteristics

It features an aromatic profile dominated by berries, cherries, and sweet spice notes. Delicate aromas of tea leaves and a slightly smoky finish with light toasted touches complete the sensory picture. On the palate, it has a gentle and elegant entry; the sip is fresh and compact, supported by soft and pleasant tannins. The finish is long and slightly balsamic.

The small cooperative in Andriano, a centre on the west side of the Etschtal, is located directly opposite the village of Terlano. Cooperation with the Terlano winery has resulted in a series of wines with a unique character, characterised by a very different soil and climate.
