TASTING NOTES

Production

The grapes are harvested by hand and then vinified in stainless steel tanks where alcoholic fermentation takes place, followed by maceration for approximately 10 days, during which gentle pumping-over is carried out to ensure slow and selective extraction. During this phase, the variety’s typical red fruit aromas emerge strongly; the wine is then aged in large oak barrels, where it acquires the structure and complexity typical of this Riserva. Energy value (E): 357kJ - 86kcal/100ml

Organoleptic Characteristics

It presents an aromatic profile dominated by wild berries, berries and cherries, accompanied by hints of sweet spices. Delicate scents of tea leaves and a slightly smoky finish with light toasted notes complete the sensory profile. On the palate, it has a delicate and elegant attack; the mouthfeel is fresh and compact, supported by soft and pleasant tannins. A long and slightly balsamic finish.

Occasion and Pairing

The ideal choice to accompany game dishes, mature cheeses and full-bodied red meats.

Serving Temperature

To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 14–16°C.

Allergens: Solfiti

THE WINERY

Andriano

The small cooperative in Andriano, a centre on the west side of the Etschtal, is located directly opposite the village of Terlano. Cooperation with the Terlano winery has resulted in a series of wines with a unique character, characterised by a very different soil and climate. Calcareous soils and cooler average temperatures give wines of good concentration but great supporting acidity. Name and address of producer/distributor: Andriano - Via Wehrburg, 5, 39010 Andriano BZ. Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
