On the nose, it features an elegant and refined bouquet, highlighting aromas of raspberry, red currant, wild strawberries, hints of underbrush, and aromatic herbs, with subtle spicy notes and a light touch of vanilla. On the palate, it is harmonious and smooth, with medium body, fine tannins, and a pleasant, delicate aromatic complexity. The finish is persistent, fresh, and savory.

THE WINERY

Bruno Gottardi

When it comes to Pinot Noir in Italy, the reference to the Gottardi winery is inescapable. In 1986, the Gottardi family acquired the first vineyard on the Mazzon hills, known as the paradise of Pinot Noir, and started making wine from their own grapes. After carefully restoring the rows of vines and building a modern vinification wine cellar, it was in 1995 that the first vintage was bottled, which immediately achieved very high levels of quality. Currently with around nine hectares of vineyards, the company is owned and managed by Alexander Gottardi, who has turned the high standards achieved in the past into a constant challenge for improvement and future developments. Between the rows of vines, the plants grow on soils rich in sandstone and limestone, enjoy a particularly favourable microclimate, and are cultivated with full respect for the environment, nature and the ecosystem. The altitude, the warm setting sun and the terroir make these hills an ideal place for the production of this variety. Mazzon Pinot Noir with its fragrant bouquet and unforgettable aroma has reaped countless critical and public successes and has been able to win the most coveted awards worldwide. Name and address of producer/distributor: Gottardi Alexander Waldemar 39040 Neumarkt-Mazzon (BZ). Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
