TASTING NOTES

Production

The Bel Colle winery is situated in Piedmont, amongst the hills of the Langhe: a historic estate that showcases the region’s grape varieties with elegance and precision. The Alta Langa Extra Brut Millesimato Cuvée Valentina is made from a blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes, grown in the finest areas of the Alta Langa and vinified using the Metodo Classico. A Piedmontese sparkling wine produced from a selection of grapes in the vineyard, with secondary fermentation in the bottle and extended ageing on the lees. 100 ml: E=305 kJ/73 kcal

Organoleptic Characteristics

Bright straw-yellow in colour with golden highlights, it has a fine, persistent perlage. On the nose, it expresses elegance and complexity with notes of bread crust, yeast, citrus, green apple and delicate floral nuances. It impresses with its freshness and aromatic precision. The Alta Langa Extra Brut Millesimato Cuvée Valentina is dry, fresh and crisp on the palate, with a pronounced acidity well-balanced by good structure. The finish is long and refined, with mineral and citrus notes.

THE WINERY

Bel Colle

In the splendid setting of the Langhe, in Piedmont, stands the Bel Colle farm. Since 1974, its founders, the Pontignne brothers and their friend Giuseppe Priola, have aimed to bottle excellent wines, enhancing the tradition and uniqueness of the area that hosts them. The Bel Colle vineyards extend into an area particularly suited to the production of Barolo, on a chestnut hill. The plots are located between 300 and 400 meters above sea level, enjoying favorable exposure and microclimate that give the grapes an intense and persistent aroma. In 2015, the company was acquired by the Bosio family, who applied several technological innovations to production processes, while still respecting the values always promoted by the Bel Colle winery. Large French oak barrels hold the important reds for at least five years, before they are transferred to the bottle. Sipping Bel Colle wines, you'll be enchanted by the garnet reflections and the spicy yet delicate aroma, characteristics sought after by all lovers of Piedmontese red wines. Savor the wines of the Langhe of this fantastic winery. Name and address manufacturer/distributor: Bel Colle - Via Castagni, 56 - 12060 Verduno (CN). The products of this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
