The name of this wine is a tribute to the founder of La Stoppa, the lawyer Giancarlo Ageno who first believed in the great potential of the area and wanted to enhance it. The only dry white wine on the farm, obtained by long maceration, is only grapes from this land, warm and sunny. Ageno is produced from 100% Malvasia di Candia Aromatica grapes, which macerate on the skins for 4 months in steel and/or cement tanks. Fermentation and refinement take place spontaneously with indigenous yeasts, in wooden 40hL vats and bottle for the necessary time, no filtration and no addition of sulfur dioxide. The color of the glass is amber. The bouquet is very rich and complex, with aromas of bitter orange peel, black tea, ripe yellow fruit, spicy sensations, hints of medicinal herbs, resinous and balsamic memories. Intense and structured, it offers an aromatic, multifaceted, wide and very dense sip that accompanies a very persistent finish with a pleasing tannic sensation. Ageno is an autumn wine that goes perfectly with a whole wheat risotto with pumpkin, burrata and anchovies. To share with a new friend. To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a serving temperature of 14/16 ºC.
