Tenuta Mara

For some, the name “Franciacorta” originated from “Petite France”, an affectionate name Charlemagne gave to the area; others, however, think the name originated from “curtes francae”, a type of medieval monastic court. Which statement is true between the two is unknown. It is true, however, that Tenuta Montenisa is able to bring out the unique qualities of the Franciacorta area to the fullest. It is also true that, thanks to its commitment and meticulous and constant work, the winery is now a point of reference in the production of Lombard wines of the highest quality, capable of representing the most authentic side of the territory of origin in every glass. The farm is located a short distance from the village of Calino, one of the most characteristic places in the area, and has always been committed to protecting the unique characteristics of the land on which it stands. A fertile, mineral-rich area that, combined with a temperate microclimate, contributes to the growth of excellent grapes. Name and address of producer/distributor: Tenuta Montenisa - Via Papa Paolo VI, 25046 Calino (BS). Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
