Fontanafredda was born in 1858 from the love story between the King of Italy, Vittorio Emanuele II and Rosa Vercellana. A community united around respect for the land, Fontanafredda now has 120 hectares, which frame the first Narrante Village of Italy located between the municipalities of Serralunga d'Alba, Diano d'Alba, Dogliani, Farigliano, Alba and Rodello, on an altitude range ranging from 250 to 420 meters above sea level, cultivated in Nebbiolo, Barbera, Dolcetto, Nascetta, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Moscato that represent the starting point for the quality of wines. The vineyards are cultivated by practicing organic farming, stimulating the symbiotic relationship between vineyard and forest with the respective wild fauna and flora. Keeping intact the soil characteristics, increasing the development of microorganisms that determine the amount of organic substance in the soil for the enrichment of biodiversity. Organic is not just a model of agriculture but a way of life, which involves identifying with the plant as a living being, eliminating all chemistry. Craftsmen who promote the interaction between vine, soil and human hands. These characteristics allow to enhance the character of each wine, which becomes a true expression of the territory. After 165 years since its foundation, Fontanafredda wants to be the bearer of new values through the icon of the community, the Barolo of the Municipality of Serralunga d'Alba. An identity Barolo, the first municipal mention in the world, recognized by national and international critics, representing the power of the Serralunga terroir and the elegance of the Fontanafredda style, with a floral, balsamic, vibrant, fresh profile and with a new truth. Name and address manufacturer/distributor: Fontanafredda SRL, Via Alba, 15 - 12050 Serralunga d'Alba (CN). The products of this cellar should be stored in a cool and dry place away from heat sources.
