Fantinel is one of the most representative viticultural realities of Friuli Venezia Giulia, a symbol of passion, tradition and continuous qualitative research. Founded in 1969 by Mario Fantinel, the winery was born from a deep passion for wine and the Friulian region and, over the course of three generations, has transformed into an internationally prestigious company, today led by Marco and Stefano Fantinel. Fantinel's philosophy is based on a constant balance between respect for tradition, valorization of the territory and technological innovation. At the heart of the project is the vineyard, considered the starting point for obtaining wines capable of authentically expressing the character of the various areas of Friuli. The family places particular emphasis on respecting the plant's natural rhythms, selecting grapes, and adopting modern and sustainable production solutions. The heart of the winery is located in Tauriano di Spilimbergo, while the vineyards extend over 300 hectares in the region's main wine-growing areas, between Friuli Grave, Collio, Colli Orientali and Prosecco. Each area has different soil and climate characteristics: from the scree slopes of Grave del Friuli to the famous “ponche” sandstone marls of Collio, up to the suitable territories of Prosecco. This variety allows Fantinel to interpret numerous grape varieties, both native and international. Among the protagonists of the production stand out some of the symbolic varieties of Friuli, such as Friulano, Ribolla Gialla, Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso and Picolit, alongside Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon, Chardonnay and other international grapes. Tenuta Sant'Helena, in Collio, represents one of the winery's most prestigious expressions, thanks to a particular microclimate and ponca soils that favor wines with a strong personality and significant evolutionary potential. In the cellar, tradition and technology coexist through thermoregulation systems, clonal selections and refinements studied in steel and wood. Fantinel also developed a particular experience in the wilt technique, reinterpreting an ancient practice through the characteristics of the grapes and the Friulian territory. Alongside still wines, production includes a significant range of sparkling wines, obtained mainly using the Charmat Method and characterised by persistent perlage, intense aromas and great freshness. Prosecco, Ribolla Gialla and rosé thus interpret the winery's most convivial and contemporary vocation. Fantinel wines are distinguished by an elegant, balanced and strongly identitarian style, capable of combining the aromatic richness of Friulian grapes with the precision of modern production. Each bottle tells a complex and fascinating territory and a family history that began over fifty years ago, which over time has become an ambassador for the wine culture of Friuli Venezia Giulia around the world. Name and manufacturer address: Fantinel SpA – Via della Favorita, 2, 33097 Tauriano di Spilimbergo (PN), Italy. Wines should be stored in a cool, dry place, away from sources of heat and direct light.
