Domaine Moutard

Lucien Moutard comes from a family in the region of the Côte des Bar, which thanks to his father continued to plant vines, increasing the cultivable area and the number of vines. His father taught him the art of local land cultivation, then began the production of Champagne in the Côte Des Bar, in the Aube region, driven by this passion, which led him to found a union to protect the name: the "Syndicat Aubois de defense de l'Appellation de Champagne". The relief of the Region leads to planting the vines on very steep slopes, in a soil consisting of marl, limestone and clay, giving the wine of the Côte Des Bar the recognition of the terroir.
