Buiano

Buiano is one of the most representative expressions of the high-hill Chianti Classico, a symbol of elegance, depth, and a deep connection to the Tuscan territory. Produced by Fattoria Buiano – Marchesi Antinori, the wine was born from a project dedicated to the valorization of a single vineyard located in the heart of the Chianti Classico appellation, in Castellina in Chianti, where centuries-old tradition and oenological research meet to create an authentic interpretation of Sangiovese. Buiano's philosophy is based on respect for the identity of the place and the desire to express to the maximum the character of the original vineyard. Each phase of the production is oriented towards the search for a balance between nature, time and human intervention, with the aim of truthfully recounting the personality of one of the most suitable areas of Tuscany. The vineyard is located on the western slope of the Chianti Classico appellation, at approximately 300 meters above sea level, on soils characterized by skeletal clays, capable of giving the wine structure, elegance and a marked mineral imprint. Here Sangiovese, the symbolic grape variety of Tuscany, finds a deep and refined expression, thanks to a favorable microclimate and careful work in the vineyard. In the winery, winemaking follows a precise and respectful approach to the raw material, with carefully crafted fermentations and refinement designed to enhance complexity, harmony, and evolutionary capacity. Time becomes a fundamental element in allowing wine to develop elegance, structure and a rich and persistent aromatic texture.
