Renzo Rosso was born in 1955 in the province of Pordenone, he founded Diesel s.p.a. in 1978, but in 1993 he decided to fulfil a lifelong dream and bought 100 hectares of land in the Veneto region near Marostica (VI), in fact snatching them from a destiny that he saw them covered with concrete. The commitment to maintaining the biodiversity and beauty of the cultivated hills unaltered has inevitably led Rosso to practice agriculture without synthetic chemicals: traditional agronomic processes are combined with innovative practices, such as green manure for flowering and dry farming. Thanks to continuous studies and research, we have arrived at an eco-sustainable company, in harmony and balance with the surrounding environment. The attention to detail and skilful manual work, combined with the harvesting of the grapes only when the seeds are ripe, create wines of rare elegance and charm. Bianco di Rosso Breganze DOC is a 100% chardonnay wine harvested and selected manually, the fermentation is thermo-controlled in wooden barrels, with batonage. Maturation takes place in wooden barrels during the winter and spring, followed by bottling in early summer. The colour is golden yellow, brilliant, the nose stands out hints of pear, apricot and candied citrus fruits, dandelion and linden flowers, concludes with a slight spiciness of white pepper. The flavour is rich and mineral, the sip is full. A wine of rare elegance that embodies the pre-Alpine freshness and the Mediterranean sun. Extremely versatile, it is perfect to drink with creative first courses, vegetable-based dishes, finger food, fish and cheeses.
