Cavalier Lorenzo Accomasso's winery is a family-run business, managed by Lorenzo and his sister Elena, the first woman of wine in La Morra, who passed away recently. The winery dates back to around the 1970s when Lorenzo pruned the vines in secret from his mother, throwing away the first bunches of grapes while they were still green, she who had worked hard on those hills so that the shoots were full of grapes. The public release of the first bottle of wine dates back to September 1966: the first label of Barolo 1958, the year of the first vinification, appeared in the wine show. Lorenzo Accomasso's estate has a little more than three hectares of vineyards in the short radius around the house and winery. With a young and extremely ambitious soul, the winery is known for the production of old Barolo wines that rest for a long time, and only after Lorenzo's ascertainment do they go into the bottle, on average a year later than other producers. Wines that come from long macerations of forty days, as his father Giovanni had taught him, and mature slowly ready for the most arduous challenges. Name and address of producer/distributor: Cavalier Accomasso Lorenzo - Borgata Pozzo 32, Frazione Annunziata - La Morra (CN). Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
