Borgoscuro Rime Craft Distillers was born with a purpose: the Maschio dynasty wanted to produce and market a unique and different grappa. In the Veneto region, the fifth generation of this dynasty began craft production aimed at achieving the perfect product, in the wake of Veneto's distillery traditions. The processes that characterise Borgoscuro are targeted at perfection. Everything starts with a completely dedicated and separate distillation of the grape varieties. The different vintages are also treated in different ways and the innovation goes all the way through to filtration, which is carried out using a natural, cold method. Every moment in the processing of grappas and gins must be aimed at preserving the particular aromas. Grappas come from light or dark local pomace, processed differently to achieve the finesse of Classica, the balsamic notes of Barrique or the elegance of Invecchiata. The gins on the other hand come from ancient dynasty recipes, bringing back the flavours of juniper reminiscent of woodland settings.
