Born into a family of artists, after his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence, Bibi Graetz took over the family vineyards around the castle of Vincigliata in the hills of Florence in 2000 and from a few barriques of Sangiovese, Colorino and Canaiolo his most iconic wines were born: Testamatta and Colore. The artist's background is clearly evident in the bottles where the labels are pictures painted by Bibi. Vineyards well over 50 years old and at altitude, the choice of indigenous vines and a natural approach in the winery are the founding elements of Bibi's vision of organic and sustainable viticulture. In 2019, Bibi Graetz's winery moved to the central square of Fiesole, inside Villa Aurora, a splendid early 19th-century hotel on the hill overlooking Florence and converted into a winery to house Testamatta and Colore, as well as Bibi and his family. The whites are produced on the Giglio Island with old vineyards overlooking the sea. Name and address of producer/distributor: Piazza Mino da Fiesole, 37, 50014 Fiesole (FI). Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
