TASTING NOTES

Curtefranca Rosso Corte del Lupo was vinified for the first time with the 1975 harvest. These two terms are told by the new label that contains the essence of the terroir and the viticultural quality of Ca' del Bosco. Corte del Lupo Rosso is made from 52% Merlot grapes, 23% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Cabernet Franc and 12% Carménère. The presence of Cabernet ensures strength, essential to give balance and longevity. After a careful selection of the grapes, coded and cooled in cold rooms, each bunch is selected by experts, to then benefit from the exclusive spa of the bunch, a system of washing the bunches through soaking tanks and a system for complete drying. This is followed by maceration on the skins, alcoholic fermentation and frequent pumping over by gravity. Thus was born the Corte del Lupo Rosso, which continues its aging in wood and steel for about 24 months. Afterwards, the wine is bottled by gravity, in a natural way. Rosso Corte del Lupo is presented to the glass with a deep ruby red color and aromas of blackberries, black cherry and aromatic herbs with vanilla background. Rich and enveloping, balanced and with integrated tannins. The perfect match with game meat, lamb, grilled red meats and mature cheeses. To fully appreciate its style, this Rosso di Franciacorta must be served at a service temperature of 16/18 ºC. Read more Read less
THE WINERY

Ca' del Bosco

An indisputable point of reference in Franciacorta and an example of excellence in the panorama of Italian sparkling wines, Ca' del Bosco is the protagonist of a story that smacks of a fairytale. It was the mid-1960s when Annamaria Clementi Zanella signed the deed of purchase of a small country house in the town of Erbrusco, surrounded by a chestnut wood. A few years later, her son Maurizio's intuition transformed it into one of the most famous wineries in the area. Maurizio's constant search for quality results in expedients that allow the Ca' del Bosco winery to distinguish itself from many others. The cultivation of more than two hundred hectares of vineyards is organised and divided according to the characteristics of the land. Many plots are dedicated to organic cultivation, thanks to the increasing adoption of sustainable practices. In addition, an entire area within the wine cellar is dedicated to art, where sculptures and other works contribute to the magic of the place and serve as a continuous source of inspiration. Ca' del Bosco sparkling wines, as well as both white and red wines, are perfect for celebrating an important occasion: their unmistakable, balanced notes are the result of skilful, measured dosage and work carried out with passion. Name and address of producer/distributor: Ca' del Bosco - Via Albano Zanella, 13 25030 Erbusco (BS). Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
