A producer of fine, high-quality wines since 1949, the Scala winery is still family-owned. It is in the hands of Luigi Scala, who carefully follows family traditions, that the winery takes great care in the production of excellent Calabrian wines, carefully following the process from the vines to bottling. With more than 18 vineyards, Scala is dedicated primarily to the production of native Calabrian wines, including the traditional Cirò, Durì and Briseo. Scala's vines stand on flat and hilly terrain, with clay and sandy soils, which contribute to the unique character of the wines produced in these areas, combining Calabrian terroir with the flavors of Scala wines. The winery today is a perfect combination of tradition, represented by the family's old farmhouse, and technological innovation used in the production of the wines.
