TASTING NOTES

Many years of waiting and respectful observation of nature, to give life to Lux Vitis. Everything comes from a vineyard of Cabernet Sauvignon planted in Montalcino in 2004 on mixed sandy soils. A rare wine, capable of interpreting the terroir of Tenuta Luce through Cabernet Sauvignon. To these grapes we added a small part of Sangiovese grapes to enrich their character. The long aging in new French oak barrels for 24 months has further enhanced the elegance. The grapes ferment in cement and then follow malolactic fermentation and aging in 100% new barriques for 24 months. With a very intense ruby red color, Lux vitis 2018 stands out to the nose for the presence of intense aromas of black fruit, in particular of black currant and blackberry that, together with balsamic notes and black pepper, compose a decidedly complex bouquet. On the palate the attack is soft and enveloping, the wine expands showing its elegant structure, balanced by a vibrant freshness and soft tannins. The finish, long and persistent, shows a remarkable aging potential. Perfect with roast red meat or mixed grilled.
