TASTING NOTES

The company Pira Luigi is linked to the hills of Serralunga d'Alba from the late nineteenth century. The winery has been run for five generations, but tramples the same land with the same castle on the horizon. This Nebbiolo is represented in its youngest and most immediate expression. The vinification of Langhe Nebbiolo takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature for about 18-20 days. Aging is traditional, in 25 hl Slavonian oak barrels for 9 months. The Langhe Nebbiolo has an intense garnet red color. Among the aromas stand out fruity, spicy and light notes of leather. The palate is soft and enveloping with sweet tannins, fine and of good persistence. Ideal if paired with red meat dishes or even with a first course with meat sauce.
