The Mustela winery was founded in Trezzo Tinella in 1978, in the province of Cuneo, and was initially a small business used only for the production of Moscato grapes. In 2003, also starting to make wine from its own products and investing in new technologies, it has become a very promising company, which is constantly growing. Its investments have also served to expand the range of products offered, also dedicating itself to the production of red wines. The Langhe Nebbiolo Magistri is a Piedmontese red based on 100% Nebbiolo whose grapes are grown in the municipalities of Trezzo Tinella and Treiso, on marly hills at an altitude of about 400 metres. After a very selective harvest, de-stemming and crushing, both maceration and fermentation are carried out in stainless steel at controlled temperatures. This is followed by malolactic fermentation and ageing, which lasts for 24 months and takes place in barriques. In the glass, it has a beautiful ruby red colour with garnet reflections. The aroma is intense and elegant, ranging from rose and violet to fresh red berry fruitiness, with a zesty finish and balsamic notes. On the palate, it is warm, full-bodied and well balanced, with intriguing tannins and excellent freshness. An excellent wine for every day, it is perfect paired with grilled or roasted red meats.
