TASTING NOTES

Tradition and passion, Terlano winery with its selection of white and red wines, best represents the characteristics of the territory. The Alto Adige Vorberg Riserva comes from a harvest of 100% Pinot Blanc grapes that are selected manually and then make a delicate pressing in whole bunch and sfecciatura by natural sedimentation. Then follows a slow fermentation at controlled temperature in large oak barrels and malolactic fermentation, with aging for 12 months on fine yeasts in traditional wooden barrels. To the glass Vorberg has a bright straw yellow color with greenish reflections. The bouquet is varied and rich in flasks, with ripe fruity notes of melon, white peach, pear or apple delight, but also with aromas of chamomile quince jelly and pineapple, with mineral notes of flint. The combination of fruity, aromatic and salty taste components is also repeated on the palate. The compact structure with an elegant creaminess blends into a very aromatic, persistent and distinctly mineral aftertaste. It is ideal in combination with spicy fish soup, mussel peppers or rock spaghetti, but it is also interesting to combine it with mussels au gratin, grilled cuttlefish or char, and it also goes well with artichokes with mature pecorino cheese, or seasoned parmesan with mustard. To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a serving temperature of 12/14 ºC. Read more Read less
THE WINERY

Terlano

Cantina di Terlano was founded towards the end of the 19th century and has since distinguished itself as one of the most progressive winegrowers' cooperatives in the whole of Alto Adige. The commitment and hard work of its members has been pursued with passion, always keeping faith with their traditions, to ensure the production of wines from Alto Adige that best represent the characteristics of the region. Today, the members of the winery cultivate around 165 hectares of vineyards, with an annual production of more than one million bottles per year. Such a large production can count on the valuable support of a dense network of knowledge and know-how handed down from generation to generation, and the constant study of the most modern techniques. Only DOC wines are matured in the current company, divided between 30% of red wines and 70% of white wines, presented to the public in three different lines: the Selections, the Vineyards and the Classics.
