TASTING NOTES

Valpolicella Superiore Case Vecie is produced by the vinification of fresh grapes, mainly Corvina and Corvinone. It takes its name from the homonymous vineyard of Grezzana, where the ripening of the grapes is subject to important temperature changes between day and night: a climatic characteristic that gives the wine a particular spice to the nose and a unique polyphenolic profile. The vinification in red ensures the contact of the skins for the entire fermentation process and the extraction of color is guaranteed by 2 daily pumping over and a half-fermentation delestage. The temperature during the entire fermentation process is kept at about 22 It is then aged for 8 months and 1 year in large wood. On the palate, acidity denotes an imported structure, the result of the selection of grapes and vinification techniques aimed at extracting only the most noble component from the skin. A Valpolicella capable of putting together good body, structure and an excellent drink, revealing the sensorial complexity resulting from a slow ripening of the grapes. Excellent in combination with a classic carbonara. To fully appreciate the style, this wine should be served at a serving temperature of 14/16 ºC. Read more Read less
THE WINERY

Brigaldara

With its characteristic 16th century villa surrounded by magnificent vineyards, the Brigaldara winery in San Floriano, owned by the Cesari family since 1928, dominates the Vallata di Marano, one of the four valleys of the historic Valpolicella area. The secret of these Veneto wine producers lies in the winemaking process, a crucial element of the Brigaldara identity. Supported by significant wine-makers such as Roberto Ferrarini, one of the most important innovators in the history of Amarone, the members of the Cesari family have in fact adopted important innovations for their production facilities and the cellar. Lamberto and Antonio, the current owners, encourage a specialised layout of the vineyards with constant love and passion, based on the varieties best suited to each area of their 120 hectares. So much attention makes the Brigaldara winery stand out with its unique biodiversity, respected and enhanced through sustainable practices, both in the vineyard and in the cellar, which allow them to bottle a varied wine heritage. Name and address of producer/distributor: Brigaldara - Via Brigaldara, 20 37029 - San Pietro in Cariano VR. Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
