The company Le Ragose is an important company that has been producing wine for over forty years. It is located on the hills of Verona and precisely in the town of Arbizzano in the municipality of Negrar. By choice Le Ragose enhances the main native vines: Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella, to be used for the production of Amarone, Recioto and Valpolicella wines and vinifies only grapes from its own vineyards. Valpolicella Classico Superiore Ripasso DOC le Sassine delle Ragose is a red wine that is produced with Corvina grapes in a higher percentage and then with Corvinone and Rondinella. Veronese red wine that is exclusively produced with Cru wines (a single vineyard very suitable) that gives the wine richness of flavors and aromas. A medium-bodied red with a good longevity that gives a nice vegetal note to the nose, and a red berry fruit in jam like blackberry. The taste is full and enveloping, with hints of cherry and dried fruit, especially the tannins is very delicate and does not disturb the drink. Depending on the vintage can be used both the Ripasso on the Amarone marc of the same Cru, and a slight drying. It ages in steel and Slavonian oak barrels. Ideal for every day, it goes well with very tasty red meat, also recommended with game. To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a serving temperature of 14/16 ºC.
