TASTING NOTES

The Reale Agricola company boasts a centenary experience in the region of Campania, in farming on the Amalfi Coast of Campania. The company cultivates its vineyards using organic farming methods in a setting suspended in time, rich in the scents of the earth and the sea breeze. Cardamone takes its name from a district of Tramonti, an area famous for the cultivation of vines since the times of the Maritime Republic of Amalfi. The volcanic clay soils allow for excellent results in the cultivation of this Amalfi DOC red wine. It is the result of a blend with different red grape varieties, Per'É Palummo and Tintore di Tramonti. Immediately after harvesting, the grapes are transported to the cellar and are subsequently fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, with maceration taking about 10 days, ageing partly in stainless steel and partly in large wood barrels for 10 months, and finally ageing for another 10 months in the bottle. It has an intense red colour. The nose stands out for the fruity aromas of cherry and red fruits, on the palate it is enveloping and with a clear spicy note. Try it casually with everyday meals. The foundation of the Azienda Agricola Reale boasts ancient origins, leading to its 100 years of experience in agriculture and viticulture. Its privileged position helped a lot: the company is located along the Amalfi Coast, a short distance from the picturesque village of Gete. Here the climate is mild for most of the year, and the extraordinary properties of the soil lead to the cultivation of the highest quality grapes. The company relies on the oldest techniques, handed down from generation to generation, but has always been open to innovations. Over time, with much study and constant commitment, the company has managed to strike a delicate balance between ancient and modern, innovation and tradition, becoming an important reference point in the production of Campania wines of excellence. The vines, which are strictly indigenous, are ungrafted and cultivated a few kilometres from the sea. A fertile and extraordinary land, rich in natural properties, which you can find in every glass.
