THE WINERYBertani
Renowned for the production of excellent Veneto wines, the Bertani estate is located in Quinto di Valpantena, near Verona. The founders, Giovan Battista and Gaetano Bertani, combined enthusiasm and a pioneering spirit to produce fine, bold wines, thanks also to the French techniques of Professor Guyot, as learnt by Gaetano.
With its two cellars and vineyards in the Valpantena Classica area and its estates in the Soave and Lake Garda areas, Bertani was one of the first Italian companies to promote the bottling of wine, with investments and advanced viticultural and winemaking production techniques. All while respecting the terroir and local culture. The recognition of excellence dates back to 1923, with the approval of the royal family.
The more than 200 hectares of vineyards include the two historic Grezzana wine cellars, for vinification and bottling, and Tenuta Novare, near Arbizzano di Negrar. From these estates come two of Veneto's most sought-after red wines, Valpolicella Classico Superiore and Amarone, icons of the area.
