The Velenosi family founded the winery which carries their name in the mid-1980s. A young company full of passion that reinterprets the ancient traditions of the Marche region in modern terms, following the concepts of organic and sustainable agriculture, through the use of advanced technologies whilst maintaining tradition. Offida Pecorino Villa Angela is made from 100% Pecorino grapes, selected in the vineyards of Ascoli Piceno and Offida. The grapes are harvested by hand in small crates and are stored in temperature-controlled cells to preserve the characteristics of the grapes. Vinification in temperature-controlled stainless steel, fermentation starts with indigenous yeasts and concludes with selected yeasts. Ageing on fine lees then follows. Brilliant gold with lively reflections and a fine, elegant and very persistent perlage. Intense, lavish and elegant, on the nose it releases great complexity and intensity of white and yellow flowers, ripe and tropical fruit, pineapple, peaches, mango, hints of acacia, lily, sage and chamomile with some notes of vanilla and white pepper. A pleasant silky feel on the palate. Good length and balance with fruity and floral hints. Great length in the finish. The cooler temperature enhances softness and promotes smoothness on the palate. Excellent with both fish and white meat.
