TASTING NOTES

La cantina Roeno si trova nella Valdadige, la vallata che collega la città scaligera a Trento, dove la presenza dell’Adige e la biodiversità del vicino Monte Baldo incidono in modo importante sulla potenzialità qualitativa della zona donando sentori e sapori unici. Una potenzialità che la famiglia Fugatti ha saputo mettere in atto appieno nella propria produzione, sfruttando uve autoctone e vigneti d’altitudine, oltre ad una consolidata preparazione enologica, infatti grazie alle loro conoscenze hanno effettuato una zonazione del territorio per individuare i terreni adatti ad ogni tipo di vitigno. L’origine del nome Valdadige Terradeiforti è legata alla vallata dell’Adige, caratterizzata da una serie di castelli medioevali, detti Forti che rendono tale zona conosciuta in tutto il mondo con il nome di Terra dei Forti. Nasce così il Delle Venezie Riesling Renano Praecipuus IGT, un nome latino che significa eccellente, straordinario e che vuole essere un omaggio alla terra su cui crescono, a 640 metri di altitudine, i vigneti di Riesling Renano. Le uve, selezionate e raccolte a mano, subiscono una pressatura soffice e il mosto ottenuto viene prima sottoposto ad una breve macerazione per poi essere raffreddato, pulito con una decantazione e infine portato a fermentare in vasche di acciaio termo condizionate. Importante è sottolineare che i lieviti utilizzati per la fermentazione, che avviene a temperatura controllata per circa venti giorni, provengono da una selezione operata ad hoc per il Riesling dall’Istituto di Geisenheim. La fermentazione si protrae per circa 20 giorni e segue un affinamento in acciaio per un anno. Questo vino bianco si presenta di colore giallo paglierino. Al naso spiccano subito nette note varietali del Riesling dove agli idrocarburi si affiancano ai frutti a polpa gialla, come la pesca e fiori gialli intensi. Al palato il sorso dona freschezza e sapidità unite alla morbidezza data dal residuo zuccherino e che ne fanno un vino elegante, ideale con l’aperitivo ma da provare anche con crostacei e pesce. The study of the territory and the best ways to enhance its unique characteristics has allowed the company to become one of the most important entities not only in the Valdadige Trentina Veronese, where it is located, but in the entire Trentino-Alto Adige region. The winery's vineyards extend throughout the Adige Valley, between Trentino itself and the Bardolino area, towards Verona. The unique microclimate of the area and its peculiar characteristics lead to the creation of a Trentino wine that is rich in character and elegance, all to be tasted.
