TASTING NOTES

Champagne Extra Brut Cuvée 746 consists of a blend of Chardonnay 57%, Pinot Meunier 22% and Pinot Noir 21% that perform a first fermentation in large oak barrels with a stop on the fine lees, blending with Reserve Wines for 33% and refermentation in the bottle according to the Champenoise Method. Without filtration and with low levels of sulfites, ages in bottle on the lees for at least 36 months. It comes from vineyards partly in Dizy, such as Corne Bautray and Terres Rouges, and partly in Avize and Ay and gives the nose beautiful notes of yellow fruit, with a slight minerality on the finish that supports a thick substance and that brings to the freshness of a freshly cut cedar. A round and fine palate that makes Jacquesson’s Champagne Extra Brut Cuvée elegant, slender and extremely pleasant. Intense and complex, with hints of candied fruit, citrus, dried fruit and mineral nuances, it is excellent as an aperitif or as an accompaniment to fish dishes. To fully appreciate the style, this Champagne should be served at a serving temperature of 8/10 ºC. Read more Read less
THE WINERY

Jacquesson

The Maison Jacquesson was founded by Mimme Jacquesson in the late 18th century in Dizy, north of Epernay. Since the eighties the brothers Laurent and Jean-Harvé Chiquet have led the estate, contributing to the birth of a myth by introducing cuvées based on a single vintage declared combined with Reserve Wines, according to a transparent approach that aims to offer the purest manifestation of terroir and base vintage offering a sans année always different. The grapes processed by Jacquesson are Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Meunier in varieties distributed between the villages of Grand Cru of Avize and Oiry in the Côte des Blancs and Aÿ in the Vallée de la Marne. The terroir is distinguished by the chalky subsoil that distinguishes the Champagne region, excluding the use of herbicides. Name and address manufacturer/distributor: Jacquesson - 68 rue du Colonel Fabien - 51530 Dizy - France. The products of this cellar should be stored in a cool and dry place away from heat sources.
