TASTING NOTES

Maison Dom Pérignon is nestled in the heart of Champagne on a hill overlooking the Valle della Marna; Hautvillers Abbey is the cradle of the most famous Maison de Champagne in the world. By selecting the best Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes for a single vintage, Dom Pérignon excludes the possibility of creating a Vintage when the vintage is not the best quality. Pléntitude 2 Vintage expresses Dom Pérignon’s second life. After almost 15 years of slow transformation in the wine cellars, the energy of Dom Pérignon expands and peaks with essential and radiant vitality in Plénitude. A multi-faceted, far-reaching wine that becomes more ample, longer, deeper and more intense, topped off with an additional longevity. Plénitude 2 Vintage’s fruitiness is expressed with notes of pink grapefruit and blood orange, finally giving way to fig at the finish. Ageing the wine on the lees refines the minerality of the vintage creating an amazing maturity, which is very emblematic of Dom Pérignon: cocoa, mocha, toasted notes, brioche and honey. As if playing a game of balance, this wine moves between tension and lightness, with an extreme, tactile, mysterious and well-honed precision. A character that persists, elegantly, on a powerful liquorice note. Its charm makes it elegant when paired with fresh cheeses or cured meats, or with delicate fish dishes. Read more Read less
THE WINERY

Dom Pérignon

Nestled in the heart of Champagne on a hill overlooking the Marne Valley, Hautvillers Abbey is the cradle of the Dom Pérignon Maison. Synonymous with elegance, luxury and prestige, the name recalls Abbot Pierre Pérignon who, according to legend, invented Champagne in the Abbey of Saint-Pierre d'Hautvillers, near Épernay, Grand Cru of the Vallée de la Marne. The Maison producing Champagne Dom Pérignon is Moët & Chandon, which succeeded in creating a prestigious Champagne by selecting the best Reserves and choosing only the best Vintage. Dom Pérignon uses mainly Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes. The art of blending is based on the ability to create harmony: the fruity soul of Chardonnay combined with the power and softness of Pinot Noir. The slow evolution gives the Dom Pérignon vintage an incredible ageing potential. Hence the greatest Champagne of all time: Dom Pérignon. Name and address of producer/distributor: 2. Dom Pérignon, Abbaye d'Hautvillers-21 Rue de l'Abbaye, 51160 Hautvillers - France. Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
