TASTING NOTES

Di Meo is a family-run winery, led today by the three brothers with the common goal of enhancing the most widespread indigenous varieties in the Irpinia area, such as Fiano, Greco, Aglianico and Coda di Volpe, and to bring to light the heritage of cultural traditions of Campania. Campania Falanghina di Di Meo is represented by the homonymous Falanghina 100% grapes, harvested manually with selection of the bunches in boxes, followed by a first destemming, cryomaceration and soft pressing. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature, with permanence for 3 months and further aging for 3 months in the bottle. This Falanghina is presented to the glass with a brilliant straw yellow color, the nose is intense where floral and fruity notes such as apple, litchi, dried fruit and thyme prevail. It is particularly saline on the palate, with a good body and persistent in the finish. Falaghina excellent in combination with Venus rice with zucchini and shrimps, or with a simple fish & chips. To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a serving temperature of 12/14 ºC. Read more Read less
