TASTING NOTES

Amarone della Valpolicella Pietro Dal Cero is the result of the latest investments in the company aimed at confronting the great Veronese red, the grapes come from the vineyards of Eastern Valpolicella, dried for four months before being vinified in steel. The wine ages in barrique for 24 months and then returns to steel, after 12 months it will be bottled where it will remain for another 2 years before leaving the cellar. Amarone della Valpolicella Pietro dal Cero is an interpretation of wine in a modern and contemporary key: it has a ruby color of great intensity and compactness, the structure is glimpsed by the slow and sinuous movements of the liquid. The concentration is already felt on the nose with dark aromas of blackberry, black cherry, dark chocolate and sweet tobacco. The taste is soft, persuasive but well supported by an acid skeleton that keeps the drink in thrust. Tasty and captivating, it will be the perfect companion to a braised Amarone or long-aged cheese. To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a serving temperature of 16/18 ºC. Read more Read less
THE WINERY

Ca' dei Frati

Cantina Ca' dei Frati is one of the main wine landmarks in the Lake Garda area, an estate that has been producing excellent quality wines since 1939. It was born from the passion of the Dal Cero family, which was able to combine skill and love for the terroir. The Lugana area of Sirmione, where countless rows of vines belonging to Ca' dei Frati now thrive, was once known as the place of monks, as it belonged to the bishop's curia. Since the first Lugana, the company has succeeded in creating truly unique bottles: from a fine white wine with great elegance to the sparkling version. Ca' dei Frati wines, an exceptional example of Lombardy wines, are the result of meticulous study of the land and vines, the secrets of which have been handed down for four generations. Safeguarding the raw material is the main aim of the entire production process, refined from year to year through innovative and up-to-date techniques, skilfully balanced with decades-long tradition. Name and address of producer/distributor: Ca' dei Frati - Via Frati, 22, 25019 Lugana di Sirmione (BS). Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
