TASTING NOTES

Cantina Tramin, la casa del Gewürztraminer, è nata nel 1898 da un piccolo progetto con poche famiglie avviato da Christian Schrott, diventando nel tempo una delle realtà più affermate della regione e un esempio riconosciuto nel mondo. Pinot Nero della Cantina Tramin è costituito da uve 100% Pinot Nero, provenienti da vigneti che si estendono su colline contigue alla montagna, ad una altitudine compresa tra i 350 e i 450 metri s.l.m., su terreni di formazione ghiaiosa, sabbiosa e argillosa. L'uva viene raccolta a mano e posta in piccoli contenitori che la mantengono integra. La macerazione avviene a temperatura controllata con rimontaggi giornalieri della vinaccia per migliorare ed aumentare l'estrazione del colore e degli aromi provenienti dalle bucce. La fermentazione e l'invecchiamento avvengono in barrique francesi, all'interno di grandi botti di rovere e piccoli contenitori di acciaio inox per almeno 6 mesi. Rosso rubino con sfumature granate, Pinot Nero Alto Adige DOC regala un bouquet seducente che ricorda piccoli frutti rossi come lamponi e prugne, accompagnando il finale con sentori di legno e vaniglia. La piacevole freschezza al palato e il gusto amabile del Pinot Nero permettono il perfetto abbinamento con primi piatti gustosi e secondi piatti di carne rossa o grigliata. Read more Read less

Cantina Tramin was founded towards the end of the 19th century, from the union of several mountain winegrowers who were looking for a way to defend their traditions and the unique characteristics of the Alto Adige region. Over the course of time, the winery has managed to produce some of the Trentino wines of the highest quality, such as the famous Gewürztraminer. Precisely because of this, the company has also managed to distinguish itself as one of the most important wine producers in Italy and the world, and is still one of the reference points for winegrowers in Trentino. The hectares are cultivated by combining the most traditional techniques with the most modern ones, in order to bring out the best not only of the qualities of the cultivated hectares, but also of the grapes themselves. An ambitious work full of passion, which manages to evoke the image of the valleys dotted with vineyards and the Trentino countryside in every glass.
