Elena Walch is a leading family-run winery in Alto Adige, the flagship of Italian wine production and internationally renowned. A promoter of quality and innovation, Elena Walch has helped lead the South Tyrolean quality revolution, thus earning great local and international consideration. Lagrein Riserva Vigna Castel Ringberg, 100% Lagrein, undergoes a 10-day maceration on the skins followed by malolactic fermentation in wood. Matured for 20 months in French wooden barriques followed by long bottle ageing. Offering a uniquely deep, intense garnet-red colour and a refined, fruity bouquet: fresh aromas of cranberries, currants and cherries combine with delicate notes of tobacco and chocolate. Soft, velvety tannins. Its fresh and spicy structure, youthful elegance and fascinating charm combined with a lingering minerality are impressive on the palate.
