TASTING NOTES

Alois Lageder estate is one of the most famous estates in Alto Adige. Having been involved in viticulture since the late 19th century, the Lageder family has been working in the area applying biodynamic principles for a more natural and sustainable agriculture that can preserve environmental biodiversity and produce wines from the natural process of must transformation. Alois Lageder's Alto Adige Lagrein is a red wine from Trentino made from Lagrein grapes grown on vineyards located at an elevation of about 230-330 metres in the Bolzano basin, in Ora and Magrè. After fermentation in stainless steel, the wine is aged in cement and again in stainless steel for 12 months. Beautiful cherry red in colour with ruby reflections; intense, fruity and spicy on the nose; full-bodied, fresh and slightly tannic on the palate.
