Valpolicella Ripasso Superiore Monti Garbi è un vino rosso prodotto da Tenuta Sant’Antonio, appartenente alla DOC Valpolicella Ripasso. Tenuta Sant’Antonio nasce nel 1989 quando i quattro fratelli Castagnedi, Armando, Massimo, Tiziano e Paolo, mossi dalla passione per la viticoltura e spinti da una vena imprenditoriale, decidono di acquisire ulteriori 30 ettari di vigneti nella zona di Mezzane, da affiancare ai 20 già di proprietà del padre a Colognola ai Colli. Il Valpolicella Ripasso Superiore Monti Garbi DOC è prodotto con un blend accuratamente ideato di: Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, Oseleta e Croatina. Deve il suo nome alla località Monti Garbi sita nel comune di Colognola ai Colli, in cui si trovano alcuni vigneti di proprietà dei fratelli Castagnedi. Questo vino è prodotto con la tecnica del ripasso, dove il vino viene fatto rifermentare sulle vinacce dell’Amarone, irrobustendo la struttura. Successivamente effettua un affinamento di 15 mesi in tonneaux nuovi per il 30% e per il 70% di secondo passaggio. Ne consegue un vino che al calice appare di colore rosso rubino abbastanza intenso. Al naso si esprime con note floreali di violette e sentori di frutti rossi maturi, con nuances delicate di spezie e tabacco. In bocca è morbido, ma ravvivato dall’acidità e da note sapide.
