TASTING NOTES

Located in the heart of the Valpolicella Classica area, between San Pietro in Cariano and San Floriano, the Venturini family business covers almost 12 hectares on hilly terrain. Valpolicella Classico di Venturini is made from a blend of Corvina 70%, Rondinella 25% and Molinara 5%, the grapes are selected and de-stemmed, followed by alcoholic fermentation with daily pumping over and malolactic fermentation. Valpolicella Classico DOC has a brilliant ruby red colour to the glass, with good transparency. On the nose it immediately shows its simple and straightforward character, with fragrant notes in which morello cherry and red currants are refreshed by a pleasant balsamic hint. On the palate it is direct and agile, with a tasty return of fruit-rich notes and a decidedly savoury finish that prepares the palate for another sip. Valpolicella, with its cool drinkability, is like the summer breeze that ruffles the leaves of our vines every evening, bringing refreshment after a muggy, busy day. It is a versatile wine that goes well with a meat dish, but when drunk at a cooler temperature is also suitable for fish dishes in guazzetto. Read more Read less
THE WINERY

Venturini

A family-run business started its activity in the early 1960s, characterised by a deep connection with tradition and the territory from the start. In the heart of the Valpolicella Classica area, between San Pietro in Cariano and San Floriano, it is spread across almost 12 hectares on hilly terrain, the most suitable for viticulture. Cultivation is carried out with full respect for nature, careful viticulture aimed at bringing the highest quality grapes possible to the winery. The expression of the territory is transformed into wine by respecting the characteristics of the typical Valpolicella grape varieties such as Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella and Molinara as much as possible. Amarone and Ripasso are the estate's flagship wines, recognisable for their elegance and fidelity to tradition. Also surprising in its simplicity is the Valpolicella Classico vintage, a very pleasant farmer's wine. Name and address of producer/distributor: Venturini - Via Semonte, 20, 37029 San Pietro In Cariano (VR). Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
