Les Cretes is identified in the Valdostan landscape for the constant search for quality in the work in the vineyard, with particular attention to the terroir and characteristics of the grapes, then enhanced in the bottle. Chardonnay Cuvée Bois de Les Cretes is made from 100% Chardonnay grapes, followed by a soft chilling and pressing of 7 Crus in whole clusters, fermentation in French oak barrels of 300L and aging sur lies of 12 months, with weekly bâtonnages. Barriques used 50% new and 50% second pass. Aging in bottle of 12 months. The glass has a straw yellow color with golden reflections. The nose is intense and complex, with aromas of white fruit, hazelnut, vanilla, banana and candied cedar and mineral and spicy nuances. The palate is dense and rich, with an elegant and harmonious finish. It is a fresh wine, excellent to consume with foie gras, tagliolini with truffle, fillet in hazelnut crust, fondue valdostana. To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a serving temperature of 10/12 ºC.
