The beginning of a great story. Tenuta Malavasi has been making agriculture its life choice for four generations and has carved out a role of increasing importance for wine over time. Today Daniele runs his family business, with the pride of those who love their reality: a young company, but already established. The Winery is located in the town of Pozzolengo with vineyards also in the nearby Desenzano del Garda surrounded by an enchanting scenery characterized by the sweetness of the morainic hills. The Trebbiano del Lugana San Giacomo grapes come from the first limestone-clay band of Lake Garda in the municipality of Pozzolengo. The vinification takes place in steel at controlled temperature, where then 20% of the mass passes into French barrique for 2 months with subsequent aging of three months in bottle. Lugana San Giacomo is presented to the glass with an intense straw yellow color, followed by fragrant notes with intense floral hints and vanilla notes, to which are added fresh aromas of white peach, apricot and more complex notes of jam and minerality. On the palate a distinct taste freshness well supported by a palpable sapidity, elegant and marked balsamic nuances. San Giacomo is perfect in combination with fish carpacci, pasta dishes based on seafood, grilled and baked fish, soft cheese, white meat and rabbit. To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a serving temperature of 10/12 ºC.
